The CIS. After getting scalped by Epson for printer ink ($129 for cartridges that last less than three weeks) I decided to install what’s called a CIS or Continuous Inking System. See all the tubes connected to those giant reservoirs full of ink?? All that messy engineering allows my shit $30 Epson printer to now print THOUSANDS of pages… When the tanks get low, I just take a syringe and fill it with more ink. My printer can now print FOREVER!! I don’t suggest a CIS for everyone (they are complicated to install and your printer will lose it’s warranty- for obvious reasons)… but I’m really excited about hacking inferior products to make them better. WHY any company is allowed to produce things with deliberate, built-in inefficiencies is beyond me…
